A vermilion arched bridge over still water, framed by Japanese maples in full autumn. Scarlet and crimson layered until there is barely any sky left, and what sky there is runs in bands of pink and blue behind a low sun.
The maple canopy is the whole challenge: thousands of small leaf shapes in reds that sit genuinely close to one another, so keep the colour reference open. The bridge and the reflections come as a reward at the end.
DIFFICULTY 728 numbered regions, one 30-colour palette. Under 500 is a quiet evening; over 900 is a long one. This page is an evening.
