Afternoon tea laid on a red gingham cloth by an open window — a blue-flowered teapot, two cups, doughnuts and pastries on a plate, peonies in a jug, and a garden with a white picket fence outside.
The gingham is the character of this one: a proper grid of alternating reds and whites that has to be done square by square. The china pattern is the fine work; the garden beyond is broad and easy.
DIFFICULTY 776 numbered regions, one 30-colour palette. Under 500 is a quiet evening; over 900 is a long one. This page is a long evening.
